PPYCC are proud of the achievements of all our members past and present. Below are the stories of some PPYCC riders who have gone on to represent their country at national level or ride professionally, both in men’s and women’s cycling and in road, track and triathlon disciplines.
Felix English
Starting with PPYCC at age 13, Felix went on to win 5 British national titles as a junior, signed with Rapha Condor in 2012 and Madison Genesis in 2016 and then rode professionally with his team TrackProject.ie with fellow team mate Mark Downey. Felix represented Team Ireland numerous times including the Tokyo 2021 Olympics. Felix has also cofounded cycling clothing brand, Angry Pablo. Joshua Golliker
Having ridden at PPYCC since U10s through to U16s, Josh joined the Trainsharp Development Team when he became a junior. He went on to win several British National Junior Series races (Tour of Mendips, Velomax Junior Road Race) and won the prestigious La Ronde Des Valees junior stage race in France, followed by 3rd in the Junior Tour of Wales. Notably, as an U14 and U16 rider, Josh had glandular fever for 2 consecutive years which meant he was off the bike for months and unable to race, but he stuck with it and through hard work and determination became one of the top juniors in Europe and secured a contract with the FDJ U23 development team and raced the Tour del’Avenir (for Team GB), had multiple wins at Valle d’Aosta, 3rd in the National TT Championships and rode the Tour of Britain. He moved in EF Education Aevolo in 2025 and with them has raced Volta ao Alentejo in Portugal and Tour de Bretagne.
Lukas Nerurkar
Lukas joined PPYCC as an U10 rider and achieved some strong track results. He was also involved in the everesting attempt on Ditchling Beacon aged just 13. He rode with PPYCC through to U16s and then as a junior made the move to VCL, who were able to place him with a Spanish club where he gained valuable experience riding on the continent. Turning senior, Lukas gained a place on the Trinity Racing team and achieved some major successes included a stage win at the Giro D’Italia Next Generation (Baby Giro), a stage win at the Nations Grand Prix and the Young Riders overall jersey at Spain’s O Gran Camiño stage race which saw him on the podium alongside Jonas Vingegaard. Lukas secured a contract with EF Education Easypost for 2024 and has had successes at Trofeo Tramuntana, Kokura Castle Criterium and Tour de Kyushu in Japan. 2025 saw Lukas secure his first World Tour podium with a third place in Stage 3 of the Criterium du Dauphine.
Dylan Hicks
Dylan rode at PPYCC from an early age right through to U16s. In 2020 Dylan joined the junior team Backstedt Bike Performance and was also selected to join British Cycling Team GB Apprentice programme. Junior results included a win at the prestigious Junior CICLE Classic and top tens at the National Junior Track Championships and Road Race Championships. He also raced abroad at Junior Paris-Roubaix, Kuurne – Brussels – Kuurne and Trofee van Vlanderen (2nd place in a ridiculously close sprint finish), and received bronze medals at the European Junior Track Championships in Team Pursuit and Madison. In 2022 Dylan became a senior rider and joined the U23 development squad of Team DSM as well as making the Team GB Senior Track Endurance squad. He then went on to ride with Saint Piran before joining Raptor Factory Racing. In 2025 he went back to the Cicle Classic as a senior and placed 3rd on the Podium.
Izzy Stone
Izzy trained and raced with PPYCC and was regularly on the club’s Sunday rides. As a junior Izzy travelled regularly to race in Belgium and was asked to ride for the Belgian Isorex Ladies team in 2018 as a second year junior, supported by the Dave Rayner Fund which supports U23 cyclists that wish to pursue a career in cycling. She was then able to ride some of the major international UCI junior women’s races like Gent Wevelgem and Omloop van Borsele.
Jojo Martin
Following selection for England Triathlon Talent Squad in 2018 Jojo was then selected for the England Next Generation Programme. This followed a successful 2018 season in which he won the National Youth Super Series overall, took a victory at the prestigious Leeds ITU event and placed second in the National Championships in both triathlon and duathlon. He was also selected to represent Great Britain in the SuperLeague triathlon in Jersey in September. Joseph’s outstanding bike strength, honed during training sessions at PPYCC, has formed the basis of his success in triathlon demonstrated by his 5th place in the GHS National 10 mile time trial in a time of 20:02.
